SS540 structural steel plate is a structural hot rolled steel in the form of plates, sheets & strips for general structural applications. SS540 carbon steel sheet is a material grade and designation defined in JIS G3101 standard. JIS G3101 is a Japanese material standard for hot Rolled steel plates, sheets, strips for general structural usage.

Due to its higher strength and minimum yield strength above 400 Mpa, JIS G3101 SS540 steel plate is widely used in general mansions, plants building and all kinds of construction machinery, such as mines and various types of drilling rig used in construction, power shovel, hydraulic support, coal mining machinery and equipment and other structures. SS 540 steel plate’s equivalent grade is DIN 17102 STE 380, NFA 36201 E 375R, MNC 810E SS21,42,01, CSA G40-21 400 W, WT, ASTM A 572 gr. 60 & 65.
